JEFFREY AALBERG, MD –
NEW ASSISTANT CHIEF – FAMILY MEDICINE

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey Aalberg as Assistant Chief, Department of Family Medicine, effective April 1, 2005. Dr. Aalberg is a graduate of Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, the University of Massachusetts Medical School and Maine Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. He completed the MaineHealth Physician Leadership Training Fellowship.
After practicing with the Bowdoin Medical Group, he joined the Family Medicine faculty in 1999. He has served as Medical Director for the Family Medicine Centers since 2001. In that capacity he oversees operations of two practice sites, with 35 attending and resident physicians and staff of 65. He has successfully led several major initiatives, including the transition to an electronic health record, redesign of office systems and the development of our Falmouth site as a thriving practice combining patient care and education. Jeff’s appointment reflects his past accomplishments and brings his dynamic voice and skills to additional efforts at Maine Medical Center.
